My 2025 Life Recap: Milestones, Healing, and Living in Alignment With My Values
If I were to give our 2025 a movie title, it would be “The Great Adventure.” In 12 months, we lived in 3 different states. Said goodbye to Baltimore and hello to the wild west mountain life. We traded prime 1-hour deliveries for prime 1-hour sunset watch parties. We’ve rewilded. And I’ve finally become the conscious cowgirl who was always inside of me begging for me to let her take the lead.
My word for the year, “Alchemize,” served me well. It encouraged me to drop victimhood and embrace total ownership. Went from walking on eggshells to stomping the shit out of them with no guilt or remorse. But rather power and new medicine, knowing it never serves anyone to make yourself smaller for others’ perceived comfort.
We experienced deep grief and pain in loss. And even deeper love and abundance. Last year, I said that 2024 was my best year yet. But 2025 certainly took the cake for me.
Why? Because in the Year of the Snake I alchemized every wound into wisdom. I let go of hoping people would change. I shed the story that life was hard and would always be challenging. I stopped looking for evidence to back up how alone I was.
And instead, it expanded and grew into not taking things personally. Setting badass boundaries queen vibes on the regular. Collected facts of how loved and supported I am. And knew that my life’s destiny is literally playing itself out before my eyes – no question.
That all happened because of the INNER WORK, the VALUES ALIGNMENT and the commitment to the JOURNEY, not the destination.
Here are my top 25 of my 2025 milestones I’d love to recount with you:
1. Began my homesteading journey in Baltimore, learning how to grow hydroponics and in a grow tent. Had the most incredible mentor, Rob, to guide me along the way!

2. Said goodbye to our 19-year-old cat, Fluffy, after a very sad and painful hospice care transition. We loved him the most and grieved harder than ever before.

3. Met and made friends with Warwick Schiller, world-renowned horseman, at the World Horse Expo. We wound up hanging out with him in his booth for 3 hours, well after the expo ended. Then we were on his incredible Journey On podcast as guests a few weeks later.
4. Said goodbye to our Baltimore home and life there. Made phenomenal home updates for our future renters, ate the most good food possible. And had so many intentional “goodbye for now” gatherings with our chosen Baltimore family.
5. Made the one-way trip across country to finally call the mountains of Idaho “home.” It never felt so right, so ready, so full-body hells yes!

6. Got our ranch setup and ready for our horses to come live alongside us. It was a massive energetic labor of love that couldn’t have possibly been more rewarding.

7. Walked our boys 2 miles up from where they were staying to our place. Ultimately, healing my fear of being out in the open with our mustang, Norby, who accidentally broke my arm last year in those very conditions. My mind, body, and spirit expanded in ways I cannot describe.

8. Meditating and having happy hours every day with our horses and feeling the healing power of it deeply.

9. Had INCREDIBLE cowgirl adventures at jaw-dropping lakes and even swam bareback in the river for the first time!

10. Finally got power (after 3 years!) and got so excited I built a last-minute container vegetable and herb garden and did pretty darn good for the first try!

11. Had awesome speaking engagements in Vegas, Maryland and Idaho.. Vegas was a particular highlight with my soul brother, Jeff, who made the most of our time together in the flashy city.

12. Hosted a Mindful Minutes Stress-Reduction series at our local library and built life-changing community in the process.

13. Had the worst panic attack of my life and my sweet boy Ollie knew I wasn’t okay. He ran to me and wrapped his head and neck around me to tell me he’s got me. It blew me away.

14. Celebrated our niece’s wedding to her soulmate on the eastern shore. And officiated a soul sister’s wedding in Arizona.

15. Had my first morel foraging adventure! And enrolled in every possible class I could to learn more about homesteading and the growing process. Made loads of new friends and meaningful connections along the way.

16. Launched a “Healing with Horses” livestream meditation series in which people all over the world can experience the medicine that our boys have to offer.
17. Had my phenomenal cowgirl soul sisters offer to come up and take our boys out on an adventure by getting ponied (walking behind the horse they were riding). And both of them did beautifully.

18. Launched our DailySpark offering where we have 2-3 minute meditations, poems, breathwork, talks and prayers to get people in alignment 365 days a year. It empowered us to open our creativity and James became a world-class producer.
19. Had the best birthday I’ve had in a very long time. Got on my sweet boy’s Ollie’s back for the first time and had a wonderful party to celebrate the goodness of life!

20. Had my sister-in-law come visit and soak in all the mountain and horse medicine together. It was such a gift to have her beautiful energy with us in an important time in all of our lives.

21. Made chokecherry jelly from the berries from our own land with the help of my new cherished friend, Carol. We had so many incredible adventures together after meeting at the library series.

22. Had my mother, father and sister-in-law come for their first time to Idaho. Finally getting to show off the beauty and complexities of our western life. They made me feel seen, heard and appreciated in ways that healed me on a soul level.

23. Made the big trip from Idaho to Arizona for the winter. Our boys did beautifully in the 2-day trip, and we are so dang grateful it all worked out. Felt overwhelmed with gratitude for my soul sister Lucinda, who has welcomed us into her home and merged with her herd.

24. Began my new expansive role as seasonal equine facilitator at Miraval Resort & Spa in Tucson. It feels like such a natural extension of my coaching and facilitation work to now have a horse co-facilitator make it even more powerful.

25. Witnessed our boys past trauma with ferriers melt away in the hands of David Landreville. In just a few sessions, they’ve gone from frightened to complete trust.

Here’s the thing—as lovely as a snapshot as these recaps seem, it didn’t just happen by chance.
It took intention, accountability, and the courage to keep choosing my values every day, even when life felt overwhelming.
