Shift From Scarcity Into Abundance

How to Shift from a Scarcity Mindset to an Abundance Mindset

There are moments when life seems to show you exactly what you need to see.

During a recent livestream meditation with Ollie and Norby, Norby became unusually protective of the food in front of him. He pinned his ears, crowded Ollie, and acted as though there would not be enough to go around.

There was plenty.

But in that moment, his body did not believe it.

And honestly, how often does that happen to you?

You can have something good right in front of you and still feel afraid that it will disappear. You can see someone else receive an opportunity, connection, recognition, or support and immediately wonder whether there will be any left for you.

Scarcity does not always sound like “There isn’t enough.”

Sometimes it sounds like:

  • 😣Why haven’t I received that yet?

  • ☹️What if I miss my chance?

  • 😕Why does everyone else seem to have it figured out?

  • 😞Why do I always have to fight to get my needs met?

Those thoughts do not make you selfish, ungrateful, or broken. They make you human.

The real question is not whether fear or scarcity ever shows up. The question is what you do when you notice it.

As I stayed grounded with the horses, something began to change. I did not match their anxious energy.

I did not decide that the entire experience was ruined. I softened. I breathed. I stayed present.

I chose to be an island of peace in a sea of chaos.

Over time, Ollie and Norby synced up with my energy and softened too.

By the end, the same horses who had been tense, reactive, and protective were standing peacefully together, grooming one another and choosing connection.

It was a beautiful reminder that your energy matters.

When the people around you are anxious, overwhelmed, angry, or afraid, it can be easy to absorb that energy and become part of it. You may believe that joining the panic will help you prepare, protect yourself, or regain control.

But you have another choice.

You can become the grounded presence in the room.

That does not mean ignoring what is happening. It does not mean pretending everything is fine or suppressing your emotions.

It means noticing what is present without allowing it to become your identity.

You can say, “Fear is here,” instead of, “I am afraid and everything is falling apart.”

You can notice the scarcity, forgive yourself for slipping into it, and choose again.

💗 Choose love.

💓 Choose possibility.

💞 Choose to ask for what you need instead of hoping someone will read your mind.

💖 Choose to believe that another person’s success does not take anything away from you.

💝 Choose to give yourself the compassion, reassurance, and support you keep waiting to receive from somewhere else.

Your sensitivity is not the problem. It is a gift. It allows you to notice shifts, emotions, needs, and energy that others might miss. The practice is learning how to work with that sensitivity instead of allowing every feeling around you to take over.

The next time fear or scarcity rises, place a hand on your heart and ask:

❣️How can I shift out of fear and into love in this moment?

Then listen.

Your answer might be to breathe, ask for help, set a loving boundary, speak honestly, rest, or let something go.

You do not have to make the perfect choice every time.

You only have to notice, forgive yourself, and choose again.

Here’s a guided practice where Norby & Ollie are my co-facilitators and we’ll help you do exactly that.

You’ll soften your body, release what you’ve been carrying, and reconnect with love, abundance, and possibility.
