2021: My Year of SURRENDER

2021: Embracing Surrender and Reflection on Healing, Trust, and Intuition

A poem of reflection as I kick off my year of Surrender and honor the past years of Healing, Trust, and Intuition.

After years of controlling,
questioning and doubt,
she finally chose to release.

To release the stories that weren’t serving,
the relationships that were self-harming,
and the experiences that were triggering.

She sang to her wounds,
Allowed them to share their pain
And learned each of their names.

And in a slow dance of completion
she pulled the wisdom from each one
and stitched up the rest.

With that medicine brewing inside her,
she grew stronger, wiser, and more patient.
She leaned towards love.

Like a flower in the darkness
stretching towards the light.
She finally felt the nourishment
that was always there for her to taste.

Love for herself.
Love for her truth.
Love for what is and what isn’t.

The healing transmuted to trust
The trust ignited intuition
And the intuition created knowing.

From that well of infinite possibilities
she finally chose to surrender.
